Moral Implications of Torture
Andrew Sullivan, not a prime candidate for evangelical honor (gay, conservative against Bush) has hit the nail on the head about the problems with torture for this administration. If it is Christians that put Bush in office how can it be a "no brainer" about torture? Both Bush and Cheney have had similar "no brainer" types of comments about torture in the past and despite the fact that neither claim to be theologians it seems to be a "no brainer" to me that you can not start with torture without thinking of the moral implications not only to yourself but to your country. Where is the moral high ground? Why can't we be better than our enemies?
